Alphonse Areola (born 27 February 1993) is a French professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Spanish club Villarreal CF on loan from Paris Saint-Germain. ==Club career== Areola finished his formation with Paris Saint Germain, after playing for INF Clairefontaine and Petits Anges. In July 2009, he signed a professional deal with PSG. On 18 May 2013, Areola made his first team debut, replacing Salvatore Sirigu in the 48th minute of a 3-1 home win over Brest. PSG had already won the league title, and their opponents were already relegated. He went on to make a start the following weekend, in a 3-1 away win against Lorient, being substituted after 61 minutes for Ronan Le Crom. On 23 July 2013 he was loaned to Ligue 2 side RC Lens for the season. On 26 July 2014, he was once again loaned, this time to fellow Ligue 1 team SC Bastia. On 11 April he played the 2015 Coupe de la Ligue Final against his parent club, losing 0–4.
